There comes a time when people, irrespective of their country they live in, should take stock of their current positions and unhesitatingly and irrevocably voice their dissent when things are not above board.

That is what is required in Jamaica NOW, not tomorrow, next week, next month or next year and the longer people sit on the sidelines, the more that country will go to waste.

For the past several years I have been writing and been very vocal on my talk shows about the behavour of some of our politicans that represent us in Parliament. Sometimes listening to these politicians speak I wonder if these men are originally from mars as they are in no way intune with what is realy happening in the Jamaica society. I am quite aware that they know but don’t care.

Just to point to an example when recently I listened to a former Minister on National Security in the Previous Government speaking in Parliament to his fellow Parliamentarian. I wonder if this man was speaking to his dog or pig at home and all this man got was a couple days suspension from the house. This amounts to a slap on the wrist. I asked this question where is the morality that was in existence among our government ministers.

It does not take a rocket scientist to know that our country is now faced with several problems, problems that must be fixed. But can it be fixed with the kind of representation that now exists? I doubt it because these politicans do not have poor people problem in their minds as all they think about is to fill their pockets with tax payers money and as such will walk on the blood of poor people into parliament and do not care.

It is really a sad day for this beautiful Island as Jamaican politicans are known to be the untouchables and behave as if they are God and not accountable to the people that put them in office. In fact they can only be seen in much of the communities that they represent during election time but as soon as the election is finished, you no longer see them.

In fact what they do is build up a base with Bullies that rule the people in these enclaves and then they protect these Bullies who in turn will make sure that they get victory at the poll.

I don’t think these politicians realy understand what is honesty as honesty in the vocabulary of these people who are in fact liers, cheaters and dishonest and cannot be trusted.

Brings me to the point in my young days I could trust politicians but in these time it’s a no, no, for these politicians to gain the trust of the people and mine they will have to agree to testify to a “Truth Confession Court” and say all they do. Frankly I am so dissappointed with these people who wreck the country and sold all it’s assets to foreigners. Perhaps I may be a bit harsh but I strongly believe that these politicians should be tried and if found guilty they should be executed.

I am convinced that when many read this story they will turn their nose at me but the truth must be told and adhered to. If Jamaica is to come in line with most countries of the world we must now start to hold those responsible for their wrong doings. I am also wondering how come the opposition cannot agree that things are getting better day by day. This makes me wonder as the improvements might not be great but a small pinch is better than nothing. We still believe in mass up break up and rebuilt, we cannot continue like this so let’s now work together for a better Jamaica.

Such appeals have fallen on deaf ears in the past. It is time to close ranks and work for the betterment of the country. The Government is doing its best, but it needs more support from every sector of th
